One area that Caretakers are normally underinvested in is Computer Literacy.

However being able to use emails, create documents and use online forms confidently can increase effiency and make a huge difference to the way many Caretakers manage their work.

We are delighted to be able to offer various levels of Computer training.  Our Basic Course is designed for those who have had little to know experience of computers and who want to gain confidence to use emails, online forms and create documents.

The Intermediate course is designed for those who would like to further their skills and get to know how to use spreedsheets, make more advanced documents and presentations.

Basic Computing  Course includes topics such as:

  • Navigating a keyboard
  • How to use a mouse

  • Anti-virus
  • How to spot a scam, phishing and what not to download
  • Using Google
  • Basic Word-processing/typing/spellcheck

  • Basic paint techniques

  • Working with fonts
  • Changing layouts
  • Working with and creating Templates
  • Inserting images, shapes and art
  • Hyperlinks & Bookmarks
  • Excel
  • Powerpoint
  • Creating a short Presentation
  • Advanced emailing
  • Beyond sending & replying
  • File Management
  • Rename, move, copy
  • Backing up

We can also offer a certified and national recognised computer qualification

Clait/ECDL
